Sorry that I've been out of the dA loop for a while, but I've gotten a full time sort-of job that's absolutely (and satisfyingly) exhausting. I'm interning for Terrafugia, on of the companies that's trying to design a production airplane/car mash-up. They don't quite have the funding to pay me, but I'm getting good resume-building work experience, I'm developing good connections, and being in a workshop all day long is basically my dream job. Unfortunately, it takes up so much of my time that I haven't really been able to have much in the way of independent creative output, and almost no time to browse dA. I'm sure I'll be back eventually, but for now I'm on hiatus. Unfortunately, I won't be able to reply to all of your comments and thank you for the favs individually, but I thank you all anyway.
Oh, go check out www.terrafugia.com/ to see what I'm working on. It's pretty sweet.

Been too busy...
...working my ass off. Haven't had much time for anything but work, especially since I've moved and now commute to and from, about an hour each way. Fortunately for me, work has involved some photo, unfortunately most of it is "proprietary." However, a few of my photos have been distributed in our press package, and two have made it onto TIME's website :-D
Photos: The Plane That Drives
That photo (number 4) and number 2 (which isn't all that great) are mine. Not much and I'm not credited, but I never imagined that a photo of mine would be published by TIME.
Oh, and the plane flew. I've been hoping that this means I'll have less work t
Up at an ungodly hour
because I just now, having been delayed by the snow thing and the office holiday party, finished reformatting my drive and installing CS3. might as well swap in some of the high rez images while I'm up. so:
I am now uploading the highest rez and quality copies I have for many of my pictures. if this appeals to you, check back often to see if I've updated a picture you want to look at closely or download or something or other.
I'm tired.
A successful day
I managed to fix the snow blower for the short term. Turns out that the magnets on the flywheel that drive the magneto had come unglued and bashed up the primary. I just glued them back on, put the flywheel back, turned it over, and got a strong spark. I think I'll have to replace the entire ignition assembly (or at least the coils) and flywheel at some point, but at least it's running for this storm they're predicting for tomorrow.
I also got my copy of Photoshop CS3, but it won't install because I formatted my HD case sensitive HFS instead of case insensitive. Now I have to back everything up and re-format. :-(
This may take a while,
Is nothing made to last?
I just had to solder one of the fire wire connectors back onto the interface board of one of my external hard drives. don't look at me like that... it works again =p
